Heads Up Display

I have an iconic esprit Austral which is now nearly 7 months old. I have had an issue with the Headscup display not always showing the route indication all the time . It stops and starts of its own free will! Has anyone else had this issue and if so has a fix been sorted at all? I would have thought after all this time Renault would have issued a software fix.

You can reset the infotainment system by ,

Restart the system by pressing and holding:
the multimedia stop/start button (press and hold until the system restarts);

Maybe a re-boot will set things right.

Thank Me Rugby
I tried that and it doesn’t seem to solve it.

Sorry, I have no other ideas other than speak with the service department or Renaults Tech helpline.

Hi Gazatron,

I also have the same issue, but I have narrowed it down a little further.
I thought the disappearing and reappearing of the HUD directions was random, but it seems that if the direction contains a roundabout symbol it does not show in the HUD (although still shows on the instrument panel and map display).
When the direction changes from roundabout to something else it reappears on the HUD.
I have checked for software update for my car, but it says it is up to date.
I haven't had time yet to report it to Renault.
I hope that makes it slightly less annoying.

Phil

I have e nailed Renault again today to seek help on this as mine isn’t working correctly still. I agree with you that roundabouts do cause issues!

Let’s see what they say.

It is annoying that after 9 months now it’s not resolved. I had a lift in a friends Audi and his Heads up Display worked brilliantly….. come on Renault get your act together.
