Ok so it seems my Austral iconic manufactured Dec 20th 2023 is now being affected by a few bugs as time goes by. The car is a few weeks old from initial delivery.
Today I connected my phone to Android auto using a cable as my phone is only partly compatible with the wireless A auto set up.
The A Auto setup has worked fine with the cable.
To be clear my phone does not have 5G mobile network capability neither does it have a 5G wireless Transmission capability ( 2 separate things here ) that connects wirelessly from the phone to the car system which A Auto says is a requirement, hence I can only operate via a cable connection.

I bought a few C type to C type cables today that were shorter than my other cable so it looked almost invisible under the console handle in order for me to tidy things up a little. Android auto fired up ok.
As you may know, if for some reason you wanted to use Google maps from your phone instead of using the car version, you can only view google maps on the main tablet screen and not the drivers screen as it gets switched off automatically. Only instrument information remains on the drivers screen.

However, today when I connected my phone as a final check using the cable, Google maps did actually appear on my drivers screen aswel for about six seconds, then it disappeared. Six seconds later it came back on, then off and on continually. I disconnected the phone and cable and reset the ignition.
Upon switching the ignition back on, the map was still in confused mode and switches on and off without cables connected to it. Weird.

So as of now I am having the issue as stated above,
Speed sign recognition not always spotting the signs
Very few pictures on my radio Icons
And the seats are misbehaving with the massage function not stopping where I want it ..ie...jammed in to my lower back even when I switch it off.

If this was my home computer I would have carried out a re-boot by now as the bugs are showing themselves. as the weeks pass.
Don't get me wrong, with this amount of technology I was expecting issues as we trial things.
We are popping into the dealership tomorrow for them to have a quick look and possibly a more thorough visit soon.
I'll keep you posted.
