Hi,

My father just bought a 2024 Austral with power seats.
He has created the profiles for him and his wife but there seems to be no connection to the keys and I can't find anything about it in the manual.

Is it really so that regardless which key you unlock the car with the seats just go back to the settings of whoever used the car latest?

Yes, the profiles are on the car and not the keys. You have to switch the profile when you sit in the car, I am not aware you can allocate the key fobs to a profile.

The seat positions aren’t linked to the key fobs, so it’ll just remember the last profile that was used. A bit of a pain.

The seat settings usually follow the last person who used the car, not the key. Unfortunately, it doesn't link the key to a specific profile automatically.

My belief, and I could be wrong, is that they are still wired to Euro spec so, perhaps in France the drivers seat is allowed two profiles and one just picks one. My car has two profiles for the passenger seat (useless option).

The only driver seat option is to select a new driver option each time a different driver enters the car to set the car up to the specs of that driver. In essence, it's quicker to just adjust the seat.

It's terribly simplistic but, I do wonder why the wires were not just swapped over for RHD cars but then, I guess, the driver seat would come under the heading of passenger seat although, if my EU theory is correct, it would show up as the passenger seat now? Am I onto something>
