Collecting my Austral this Saturday from dealer and in preparation wondered what I will need when washing it, as its Matt Shadow Grey. Heard I need to use special washing stuff, any advice would be appreciated if needed. I'll post pics after I collect :) I cannot wait. šŸ˜€

I would watch a few you tube videos about this type of paint finish as there are a few differences in how to take care of it. Whatever you do, don't use cutting polish which will put a sheen on the matt finish.
Lots of detailing videos online from people who know more than I.

Thanks, I planned to do that just wondered if any existing Austral owners had some experience they could share :)

Hi search ā€œPan the organiserā€ on the old YT channel would be a good place to start I would suggest.
He will have something on caring for Matt paint Iā€™m sure.
Hope that helps a little

Biggest thing is to avoid anything with wax or gloss enhancers. One of my go to companies for cleaning supplies over the years has been Chemical Guys and I have bought both the matt wash and the matt sealer for mine. You can used the Matt Wash as a snow foam as well to minimise the amount of dirt before any contact cleaning and I also use a citrus pre-wash as the first stage of the washing process. The sealer just gives an extra layer of protection, much the same as traditional waxes on a gloss paint car.

You can usually pick these up slightly cheaper from other sites like Amazon or Slims Detailing as well.
