Just viewed a YT video for the 2024 Austral and it shows a smaller central screen that is shorter than the current one we have. I did a double take in case the video was for another model but as the photographer panned out it was an Austral. The new Megane also has it from what I can see.
Also noticeable was the front door speaker grills have been re-designed and not so pointed.
Bit strange to make these adjustment so soon in it's life cycle. Anyone else spotted it. ?

2024 Model changes

Some countries like Turkey can only have the small screen regardless of the model, I would be very surprise if Renault reduced the screen of the European Austral.
As Coutainville says, the infotainment system is available in 2 different sizes. A lot of countries have a whole host of configuration options to chose from (a bit like the old days of buying a car) but Renault UK decided it was easy to just limit us to the 1 engine and 3 set spec variants (aside from a few convenience / cosmetic bits) which included the larger screen on all models.
Just waiting to hear back from my dealer regarding this change (I had to ask them as I suspect otherwise I would have been kept in the dark). The salesperson has contacted Renault to check on whether my car will be built according to spec when I ordered it in March. TBH I am not too concerned about 4C having read some reviews about it, but I won't be fleeced on price. I was told that if Renault won't honour my order, which I can imagine they won't then I might actually get my car sooner as there is a load of MY25 stock already built..not sure how accurate this is. Expexting a call tomorrow.
Thanks for the reply Mr Rugby. No surprise to hear from my dealer today that my car will not come with 4C. Now looking to see what new MY25 stock is out there. I'm tempted to change my colour choice but then I would be miffed at waiting 10weeks for nothing
So what is the reason being given for the removal of 4c or is it a means of now paying extra to get it added.
Example is the 4c mechanism now difficult to obtain, or is it a means of reducing operational costs.
I wonder if they are trying to keep the cost under the £40,000 threshold for tax purposes and removing the mechanism reduces the model cost ?
There are other models in Renault's range that have 4c I believe, are they the same and being removed.
I have no idea stubby.

Difficult to know the reason. Dealer didn't comment. I don't see it anywhere as an extra. You might be right regarding cost. The liat price is reduced by £500 but I would imagine it costing more than this to fit. This would indicate an increase in price for the spec now offered. It is strange that the Rafale I thibk has it fitted on certain trims
