Please could someone answer a query for me?
When I ordered my Austral, the dealer mentioned a fee for mats and petrol (apparently will put £20 of fuel in and supply with mats). Not sure if this is some sort of dealer scam as mentioned almost in passing and added to my order. On looking around I have seen some official mats for sale but also that Renault are refunding customers that have been charged.
So the query is, should my new Austral coem with proper mats as standard (I've seen images of mats with Alpine logo on)?
Are mats included?
I had mats included but I asked for them very early on. They were the Alpine ones and I did not have to pay even though I offered to buy them if required.
I will say, although original, I don't think they are very well tailored compared to other mats I have used in other cars.
They are quite narrow fitting and do not cover the full width of the foot area front or back.
They are not very sumptuous. My Qashqai mats were very nice indeed compared to these.
