Insurance Costs

Has anyone else found this to be fairly expensive to insure? Coming from a modified Focus RS to the Austral I am seeing a 30% or so increase in insurance costs. Makes a dent in what I will be saving on fuel costs.

I moved to the Austral from a top of the range 2021 Renault Captur and my insurance went up from £432 to £625 a year with Tesco Bank Insurance.
I expected it to be around that though.

Here in Ireland my Austral Iconics costs me £360 per year full no claim bonus, comprehensive and bonus protection (AA Insurance), still quite expensive compared to insurance in France.
